Cabinets & tiling

Just before Christmas we went shopping in our storage units. (I can't believe we've lived without all that 'stuff' for the past 5 months and have managed very well). The purpose of our little shopping trip was to retrieve all the fans and lighting that we have bought for the house. I'm not sure exactly how or when this 'tradition' began but for the past few years we have always eaten tacos on Christmas Eve. We were delighted to have Shelley come and stay for a while over Christmas and here she is pulling Christmas crackers (a Victorian British invention) before tucking in to her tacos.Crackers always contain 3 basic items

1. A silly paper hat. 2. A cheap toy worth about 2cents.

3. A 'far from funny' joke - usually written by someone in Hong Kong where the crackers are made nowadays.

The paper hats have to be worn before dinner is served.Meanwhile - back at the house...... All the kitchen cabinets are in, the handles are on and we are waiting for the granite and the trim work.
In the Master bathroom the tiling is almost completed. The bathtub is sitting in the garage waiting for the grouting to be done before it is put in it's final resting place.The tiling on the shower floor in the Master bath was a little 'wavy' in places but the builder has agreed to have it re-done - so that will take a little longer than anticipated but will look much better when it is all finished.
