Cabinets and food pantry

It's been a busy week at the new house. The base units in the kitchen are in and the templates for the granite are done. Everything is very dusty at the moment but I'm sure it will be all clean & sparkly by the time we move in.The great room/kitchen/dining room is very open with a big island looking into the living area.
The vanity is also installed and waiting for it's granite in the master bath. Most of the tiling is done. The jacuzzi deck still needs to be tiled and the shower glass will be installed when everything else is finished. On the outside, the first coat of paint is on the front door and the stone work is all done.We are really getting 'itchy feet' to move in but have been so pleased with the way the whole project has gone. There is nothing that we are not 100% pleased with and not many people can say that about their home-building experience. We have an awesome builder and we give thanks to God for that.

On a different note, this morning Roy and Barry volunteered with Lake Christian Ministeries on their new mobile food pantry outreach. The truck was driven by Santa, who gave toys out to needy children and over 50 families were provided with food for the Christmas holidays.
This little boy was overjoyed when he was presented with a truck almost as big as he was.

The food pantry will continue to operate on a monthly basis to provide food for those in need, of which there are many in this area particularly with the current economic climate.
