When we arrived home from Florida the pool had made very little progress. The pool base material was in place but there was no sign of a pool liner.
We have been waiting for the liner to arrive for the pool far almost 2 weeks (apparently the order was lost somewhere along the line) so we didn't get to use the pool over the holiday weekend as we had hoped. However, it arrived today and was fitted in place.
A vacuum machine is used to suck out the air between the liner and the vermiculite pool base.
It looks like a good fit and we have arranged to have the water hauled tomorrow morning. We decided not to use our well for the water as it would mean drawing off almost a year's supply all at once - a little too risky for a new well we thought.
Looks like we may be able to use it before the end of the season after all. Most people down here seem to keep their pools open until at least the end of September.
