We were planning to close the pool at last on Wednesday, but then along came the tail end of hurricane Ida and dumped who knows how many inches of rain. So much of it that even though we dropped the water level 3 times by about 8" it rained so hard during the night that the run-off filled the pool to the point of overflowing just under the concrete until it eventually lifted the spa out of the ground, tearing the cover in the process.
We have been waiting all morning for the pool Co. to call us back so we can discuss the best solution to the problem. If any of you out there are considering putting in a pool, please contact us first so we can tell you where NOT to go.
Having said all that we are grateful to God for a dry, warm home and our prayers go out to those who are less fortunate and whose lives have been devastated by the recent flooding.
