The exterior is ready for painting but will have to wait until the weather warms up a little. It has been unseasonably cold here for the past week with temperatures dropping into the 30's. Normally in Nov we should be seeing 50's-60's. At least it's not snowing. The front porch is ready for the concrete and slate tiles to be laid.
Also the sheetrock is completely finished on the inside and painting will begin in a few days time.
Before painting begins the texture has to be applied to the ceilings - the great room is almost done.
We also met with the sub-contractor who will be laying the driveway today. He is planning to work on it towards the middle of next week. After a talk with our builder today we have decided that for many reasons it would be best for us to move in somewhere around the middle of January. This will give the house a little more time to dry out and will be a better time for us to accept the many kind offers of help that we have received without asking friends to help out over the Christmas/New Year holiday.

That last paragraph had me so confused... I had to read it 3 times! I thought that the driveway was being pushed off until January... now I get it!
